Please Note: Children under 16 are welcome to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi but must be supervised at all times by an adult (over 18). Children under 16 are not permitted to use the steam room or gym.
The leisure centre at Lake District Castle Inn offers the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. Families can enjoy the well-equipped gym, tennis courts and a kid’s play area, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District.
Nestled near iconic peaks like Skiddaw and Helvellyn and close to serene lakes like Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, the leisure centre is ideal for all wellness enthusiasts.

Open to guests and members alike, our leisure facilities feature a 15-metre indoor pool perfect for laps or splashing about, a vibrant gym filled with Life Fitness gym equipment and a lawn tennis court and putting green in our gardens.

Bicycle Storage
Secure bike storage gives you peace of mind when you stay at Lake District Castle Inn Hotel. Please let our team know at the time of booking if you’d like to use our storage. We always welcome cyclists enjoying the Sustrans No.38 regional cycle route that runs right past our hotel. We also recommend the Skiddaw Loop for that bike adventure which circles the Skiddaw massif.
Tennis & Putting Green
When the weather is good there’s nothing like a relaxing game of tennis on a grass court or some leisurely putting in the garden. Please ask our team about equipment.
